Tuneful, Hummable, IN MY VILLAGE

Everyone’s on holiday – at least if you’re lucky to be a student or a teacher ;), so everyone needs to hum a song once in a while.

As you can hear in the video I just posted, this is a very hummable song. You can whistle or la-la-la to it, all the same.

For ears and eyes hungry for words, here are the lyrics I wrote with Pako Sarr for this song that has been played on the radio over the last two weeks already and is still ready to go!

In My Village

Lyrics: Alina Alens & Pako Sarr

Music: Pako Sarr

This is my story,
This is how I live my life.
This is my story,
Full of joy and pure delight.I live in a village,
Where the sun is shining bright.
I live in a village
Where no heart will be ever apart.

Chorus
No, no more, no more, no more crying,

No, no more, no more, no more fighting. x2

This story can be yours, if you want it, now
This story can be yours, right now. x2

In my village

There is no need for wars and guns.
In my village
You can respect and you can trust.

In my village
You are free to speak your mind,
In my village
We’ singing, singing for love.

Chorus

No, no more, no more, no more crying,
No, no more, no more, no more fighting. x2

This story can be yours, if you want it, now
This story can be yours, right now.         x2

No, no more, no more, no more crying,
No, no more, no more, no more fighting. x2

No more weapons in the hand of children.

No more children  dying or crying

because of sickness or hunger.

No more, no more, no more, no more suffering,

no more, no more, no more, no more crying,

No, no more, no more…
